Your privacy, explained plainly
Storey is built on trust. This page explains — in simple language — how we think about privacy, what we do (and don’t do) with your information, and the principles we follow to keep your life details private.
Storey is built on trust. This page explains — in simple language — how we think about privacy, what we do (and don’t do) with your information, and the principles we follow to keep your life details private.
Storey exists to help you organise the most personal parts of your life. That means privacy isn’t an afterthought — it’s a core design principle.
This one’s simple.
Storey does not sell your personal information. We don’t trade it, rent it, or package it up for advertisers.
Your account data, documents, messages, and memories are never used for marketing databases or third-party profiling.
Everything you add to Storey is private by default.
If you choose to give someone access in the future — such as a trusted person or inactive account manager — that access only happens under the conditions you’ve defined.
We believe privacy policies should be readable by humans.
If we ever change how privacy works, we’ll explain it clearly — not bury it in legal language or quiet updates.
We aim to meet and exceed UK privacy standards, including the principles of the UK GDPR and guidance from the Information Commissioner's Office.
You can update, export, or delete your information at any time.
If you close your account, your data is handled responsibly and removed in line with our retention policies — not kept “just in case”.
If you’d like to know exactly how data is stored, encrypted, and protected, you can explore the more technical side next.
